Stamp duty is a tax imposed on the sale of property/property ownership by the state government. It is payable under Section 3 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899. According to Mathura-Vrindavan Tehsil Norms, it is around 7% of the paid-up amount to the owner of the property i.e., if the said property values around Rs.10,00,000, so the stamp will be costing around Rs.70000/-.
